History of FedEx

FedEx Corporation is an American international delivery services company based in Memphis, Tennessee. The name “FedEx” is a syllabic abbreviation of the name of the company’s original air division, Federal Express, and was a popularised nickname before becoming official. Initially founded in 1971 as Federal Express Corporation by Frederick W. Smith. It expanded to Europe and Asia in 1984. It made a series of acquisitions globally over the years and now has 95 percent of world consumers living outside U.S. borders. FedEx made international shipping as easy as possible for customers who want to connect with global market opportunities.
