History of Royal Mail

Royal Mail Group plc is a British courier company and a well-known multinational postal service. Incipiently established in 1516 as a department of the English government, the company now operates globally as the brands Royal Mail for mostly letters and Parcelforce Worldwide for packages. General Logistics Systems is a wholly-owned international logistics subsidiary of Royal Mail Group. The service uses trains, road vehicles, a ship, and aircraft. In 1784, Royal Mail became the service’s name when mail coaches become familiar with the country. In 2013, the London Stock Exchange listed the Royal Mail, which currently has over 150,000 employees.
