History of China Post

China Post, legally called China Post Group Corporation, is a state-owned business operating the conventional postal service of mainland China, improving and replacing Chunghwa Post in 1949. Tracing the postal service origins would reveal that Robert Hart established it in 1878 during the Qing Empire’s reign. The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications formerly administered it. However, in modern times, China Post is directly supervised by the State Post Bureau, which has the general duty to regulate postal service in China fully. Notwithstanding, the State Post Bureau reports to the Ministry of Information Industry of the People’s Republic of China.
