Correos de Guatemala is the national postal service operated by the Dirección General de Correos y Telégrafos. Created as Correo de Guatemala S.A. in 1998 under concession, it later returned to direct state management after the private operator ceased activities in 2016. Since 2019 the public service has been gradually restructured, restoring domestic delivery and reopening international routes so citizens and businesses can again send letters, parcels and EMS worldwide.
